Theory - Issues - Energy Sources

The question of why a person would want to exist in a sustainable environment seems self-evident. Sustainable living is any type of lifestyle that can continue without depleting the resources of land, finances, time or health that are available to the individual. In a slightly broader sense the idea of sustainable living at a family level means living within one's means and not using up resources available to the household. The concept can be expanded even further to include sustainable living by the community, state, nation and globe. This philosophy of life can be practiced at all levels of human existence successfully, even if some units of society are not. The difficulty arises when the majority of individuals, families, communities, or nations do not practice sustainable living and expect the concepts to apply to the others at that level rather than themselves.
